TPS support our government to prevent illegal goods entering Indonesia
Surabaya - Thursday (2/8), Finance Minister , Sri Mulyani Indrawati together with the government of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC), and Pelindo III Directors held a press conference at Container Freight Station (CFS) Surabaya Container Terminal related to the destruction of three containers containing illegal liquor amounts to 50,664 bottles and the destruction of more than 16.3 million illegal cigarettes.Illegal goods were transported by the Los Angeles APL Ship from the Singapore Port on June 24, 2018 to the Tanjung Perak Port through the Tanjung Priok Port. It is estimated to arrive on June 26, 2018. However, thanks to cooperation between the law enforcement and the Singapore Customs , the illegal shipping of the goods can be detected and acted on by the Customs Office of Tanjung Perak.
TPS as one of the Port Business Entities (BUP) strongly supports the government's efforts to prevent the entry of illegal or dangerous goods that will enter the TPS port area, so that Indonesia, especially Surabaya, remains safe and conducive.
