IDUL ADHA 1440H, TPS SHARE 89 ANIMALS OF QURBAN

Surabaya - As a tangible manifestation of State-Owned Enterprises present for the country, PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS) distributed 89 sacrificial animals, consisting of 14 cows and 75 goats to residents, foundations, small mosques and mosques in the TPS working area.

Sunday (11/8), TPS Operations Director, Bambang Hasbullah symbolically opened the sacrificial animal slaughter at TPS. 75 goats and qurban meat (cows) are distributed to loading and unloading workers (TKBM), janitors, mosque ta'mir and the community around TPS.

This activity is one of TPS's real work in prioritizing efforts to spread corporate values to the community, especially around the operational areas of TPS. As a subsidiary of Pelindo III, we are ready to support every step and mandate of the Government to assist the community in meeting their economic needs.

"We hope that this assistance can be useful and able to spread energy both through sharing for the people who receive it," said Bambang.

Kahumas TPS, M. Soleh explained the surrender of sacrificial animals by TPS was also part of the TPS Social and Environmental Responsibility Program. In addition, this activity also serves as a liaison between the company and stakeholders, including the community around the TPS.

 

About PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya:

PT. Surabaya Container Terminal or abbreviated as TPS is a subsidiary of Pelindo III Group, which is engaged in port services in the export-import and domestic container terminal services. TPS was established in 1992 as a Container Terminal Unit (UTPK) and was privatized on April 29, 1999 by P & O Dover with an ownership interest of 49%. In 2004 polling stations have reached throughput of> 1 million TEUs and continue to grow until now. On March 1, 2006 the P&O Port Holding Company was acquired by DP World, so that all assets and investments of P&O Dover transferred ownership to DP World, including a 49% stake in TPS so that the composition of TPS shares was 51% owned by PT Pelindo III and 49% owned by DP World. TPS operates its core business as a container terminal operator, as an economic gateway for export-import activities in Eastern Indonesia and is the first terminal in Indonesia to implement ship safety standards and port facilities which came into force in July 2004.
