Surabaya (19 April 2023) – Welcoming Eid Al-Fitr 1444 H, Surabaya Container Terminal (TPS) shares the blessings of Ramadhan 1444 H in the form of basic food packages intended for TPS partners, such as TKBM officers, Tally officers, IT Support, Cleaning Workers, and the poor around ring 1 of TPS.
The provision of food assistance is carried out in stages, during the month of Ramadan, as many as 750 basic food packages containing rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, sugar and other basic needs, as a form of concern as well as support for work partners to ease the burden amid rising prices for staple needs and increase in fuel prices.
Located in the Lobby of the TPS Administration Building, the distribution of food packages was carried out symbolically by the Main Director of TPS, Wahyu Widodo and the Director of Finance, Sapto Wasono Soebagio to each recipient representing TPS partners.
Not only that, Wahyu also immediately went down to the homes of the poor around Kalimas, Kampung Malang and Keputih which were still in the ring 1 area of TPS to provide the basic food assistance directly.
This activity is one of the concrete manifestations of TPS' concern as a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Container Subholding (SPTP) for environmental and community care programs, which are not only oriented to business interests.
"The provision of these basic food packages is an annual Ramadhan program, as a form of our commitment to continue implementing the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program on the social pillars, of course with the hope that it will provide benefits to the recipients," said Wahyu.
The representative of the beneficiary, IIn who is a resident of Kalimas, said he was happy to receive the assistance provided by TPS. "I feel grateful to receive attention from TPS. I wish success for TPS so that in the future it can be present again among us." he concluded.
Apart from sharing groceries, during the month of Ramadan TPS also provided iftar packages for the congregation of the At Taubah TPS Mosque and iftar and sahur packages for truck drivers and work partners who work in the TPS area.
