Procedure of container discharging service :


  1. Container Discharging Service

     

    1. Based on the Minutes of Daily Meeting for Vessel Berthing, Wharf Supervisor prepares wharf meter and states the vessel berthing bordering signs by putting on the berthing flag in day time and adding a berthing lamp in night time.

       

    2. Stevedoring Labor stands by at the starting meter and ending meter where the vessel to be berthed, and inserts the vessel berthing ropes into the bolders.

       

    3. Wharf Supervisor inputs the data of date, time, and position of vessel berthed into TPS system.

       

    4. Once the vessel has berthed, Vessel Crew lowers down the vessel ladder and puts on the safety net. Stevedoring Labor makes sure the extra gangway has been installed properly and safety between the vessel ladder and the wharf.

       

    5. When the vessel is just berthed, Stevedoring Labor removes the lashings and twistlocks of containers on decks on the bay which to be discharged.

       

    6. When removing the lashings and twistlocks of containers, and working on the top of container with height more than 2 meters, Stevedoring Labor should use mancage accordingly.

       

    7. Vessel Dispatcher activates and sends the Container Discharging Sequence List which has been adjusted to the Discharging Plan agreed with Shipping Lines/Vessel Agent.

       

    8. Before discharging the containers from the vessel, it is important to pay attention that there are containers to have special treatments, e.g. Reefer, Over Dimension and Uncontainerized

       

      1. Reefer Container
        • Reefer Monitoring Personnel removes the reefer container from vessel plug and checks the temperature setting up);

           

      2. Over Dimension Container and Uncontainerized
        • Wharf Supervisor instructs Gear Store Personnel to prepare the lifting gears to support the container discharging from the vessel by considering the length, width, and height of the said vessel.

           

        • Gear Store Personnel prepares the lifting gears to support the container discharging as instructed by Wharf Supervisor.

           

        • Stevedoring Labor collects all necessary lifting gears from the gear store and install them into CC spreader.

           

    9. CC Operator discharges containers from the vessel onto Head Truck as guided by Tallyman.

       

    10. Wharf Tallyman checks visually the container physical condition and numbers.

       

    11. Wharf Tallyman confirms the result of discharging into HHT as per the container number discharged and to input the container seal numbers.

       

    12. Based on the instruction displayed on VMT, Head Truck Driver transports the container from the wharf to the container yard.

       

    13. RTG/RS Operator moves the container from Head Truck chassis to the stacking area as per the instruction displayed on VMT.

       

    14. For reefer container, Reefer Monitoring Personnel plugs the reefer cable into the plug at the container yard and check the temperature setting up.

       

    15. Containers which have been discharged would be stacked at the Container Yard of TPS for reloading onto the vessel or for delivering out from the terminal.
