CARE TPS: HELP FOR VICTIMS OF DISASTER

 

Surabaya - #PrayforLombok #PrayforPalu, both of these hastags which are currently warm among the public. As we know, Lombok grieving has not been completed after the earthquake hit magnitude 7 at the end of July 2018 which took hundreds of lives and thousands of injured, now grief over our brothers in Palu and surrounding areas. An earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter Scale (SR) shook the Donggala region, Central Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi), and caused a tsunami that struck Palu. Takes a victim of up to 2,000 people and tens of thousands of people injured.

"With these two disasters, we are grieving and want to help these two islands to bounce back", said TPS Public Relations Officer, M. Soleh.

Help for Lombok

TPS through IZI (Indonesian Zakat initiative) is present to arouse the enthusiasm of the people of Lombok by providing assistance worth 270 million in the form of 3 initiative school construction units and 3 units of initiative musholla. In addition TPS also provided mukenah assistance for the 3 musholla.

The plan is at the beginning of November, representatives of TPS employees will visit Lombok to directly review and hand over the assistance to the people of Lombok.

Assistance for Palu and Donggala

This time through the Ksatria Medika Airlangga Foundation, the TPS was present with a floating hospital for disaster victims in Palu and Donggala. The Ksatria Airlangga floating hospital (RSTKA) is in Donggala Harbor since Friday (5/10). Assistance in the form of consumable medical materials, Change Crew / Doctors and medical teams, Medical Devices (X-Ray), Medical Platoon Tents (3 units) and Velbed (50 units) donated by TPS. Until now thousands of patients have been treated by RSTKA.

Not only that, through Pelindo IV, TPS also provided assistance in the form of 200 blankets, 500 packages of diapers, 500 packages of sanitary napkins, 1000 bottles of 600ml mineral water, 1000 cans of packaged food. In addition, TPS also provided 100 T-shirts for disaster victims.

"The total assistance that we channel to the disaster victims in Palu and Donggala reaches 1 billion," said M. Soleh.

Hopefully all the assistance we provide to the victims of this disaster can provide relief and certainly revive the spirit of both Lombok, Palu and Donggala.
